PRSM launches Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct

The Public Relations Society of Malawi (PRSM) on Friday February 28, 2020 successfully launched it’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct at a high profile event that took place at Lilongwe Golf Club.

The event was graced by Guest of Honour, Ombudsman Martha Chizuma and Keynote Speaker, Standard Bank Chief Financial Officer Temwani Simwaka.

In her remarks, Chizuma said commended PRSM for launching the code of ethics, saying it would help in improving the PR profession and the Malawian society.

An ethical PR profession is critical in the development of the corporate world and the Malawi economy -Simwaka.

She said ethical professional conduct are critical in making Malawi a corrupt free and law abiding nation.

“The PR profession will become admirable if all PRSM strictly abide to the code of ethics,” said Chizuma.

On her part, Simwaka said an ethical PR profession was critical in the development of the corporate world and the Malawi economy.

Public Relations Society of Malawi President Lewis Msasa said this was an important milestone for the Public Relations Society of Malawi and the industry.
