PRSM Donates 100 Refurbished Desks to Chikale Primary School
The Public Relations Society of Malawi (PRSM) has refurbished 100 desks worth K3 million at Chikale Primary School in Nkhata Bay as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.
The donation aims to improve the learning environment at the school, where many pupils were previously forced to sit on dusty floors due to a shortage of usable desks.

He also appreciated PRSM support of newspaper subscription for the school.

Headteacher Daniel Nkhoma hailed PRSM for the timely gesture, describing it as a major boost to both learners and teachers. He, however, appealed for further support, citing the school’s continued need for internet connectivity, teacher houses, and improved sanitary facilities.
Speaking during the handover ceremony on Saturday, PRSM President Rachel Mhango said the Society chose to support Chikale Primary School because of its outstanding performance in the recently released Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) examinations.
“As a Society, we believe in giving back to communities in ways that promote learning and development,” Mhango said.
