VACANCIES — VOLUNTARY BASIS

BACKGROUND

Public Relations Society of Malawi (PRSM) was established under the Trustees Incorporation Act to promote professional Public Relations (PR) and Communication practice in Malawi. The society pools Public Relations and Communication practitioners from both public and private sectors.

In line with its 2021-2025 Strategic Plan, the society would like to, among other strategic priorities, accelerate its institutional growth.

Currently, the Society only has a National Governing Council, hence a need to have a functional secretariat in order to achieve its intended goals and objectives.

Article 11 of the PRSM Constitution provides for a Secretariat to run the day-to-day affairs of the Society on behalf of the National Governing Council.

To this end, the Society would like to constitute the first ever Secretariat which will work remotely and on voluntary basis, until such a time the Society identifies a physical office and associated resources. The Society will support the Secretariat with resources to enable it discharge pre-approved tasks. A modest upkeep allowance will be paid to successful applicants.
