PRSM drills community in financial prudence
The Public Relations Society of Malawi (PRSM) has trained the community of Mapira Village in the area of Traditional Authority Mponda, Mangochi, with essential financial literacy skills as part of the Association’s social responsibility during the 2024 Lakeshore Conference & Awards Gala.
Every year, during the conference, the Society reaches out to communities with different empowering interventions based on needs. For this year the focus was on providing financial literacy skills to the targeted community.
Through expert-led training sessions, interactive discussions, and engaging group exercises, participants gained invaluable insights on areas such as budgeting, saving, and investing.
During this engagement, the Society’s president, Ben Linje, emphasized that “financial literacy is the cornerstone of economic development” hence the need to empower communities with skills “to foster a brighter future for all”,
Sub-Traditional Authority Mponda expressed heartfelt gratitude to PRSM for this opportunity.
“These skills will revolutionize the way our community manages money. We are confident that this training will have a lasting, positive impact on their livelihoods.” Said the traditional leader.
