PRSM believes public discussion of issues affecting Malawi’s image is important and can provide a platform for advocating for best practices in different facets of life at national level. The Society, therefore, embarked on the organisation of panel discussions aimed at bringing together various subject experts, duty bearers, advocates and Malawians in general to discuss issues of national concern from a public relations perspective.
The first panel discussion which was themed “The Common Enemy: Unpacking Fake News ahead of 2019 Tripartite Elections” was held on 20th December, 2018 at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe. The discussion was led by a cast of seasoned, independent and reputable panelists from public relations, law, media and governance.
Other panel discussions on other topics are planned to be held in Malawi’s cities.
